First, Last and Deposit

I co-wrote and produced my first feature film, First, Last, and Deposit. According to Atlantic Magazine, it was “the best movie about the homeless since Midnight Cowboy.” We won awards at the San Francisco and New York City Independent Film Festivals. The DVD was released by Vanguard Entertainment, and the film soon became a popular staple on TV’s Independent Film Channel.

King of the Ants

Next Step: The incomparable director-producer Stuart Gordon let me join his Red Hen Productions in Burbank, where we shared an office for years. Our first movie together was King of the Ants, based on Charlie Higson’s UK novel. The film went on to screen at over 35 film festivals worldwide.

Edmond

My second feature with Stuart Gordon was Edmond, written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet. The film starred William H. Macy (who won Best Actor at Mar del Plata and Newport Beach), Julia Stiles, Joe Mantegna, and Mena Suvari. The New York Times suggested that Bill Macy should have received an Oscar nomination for his performance. Edmond was also an Official Selection at the Venice Film Festival.

Film Festivals

Over the years, my films and documentaries have been selected for screening at some of the world’s top film festivals, including:

• International Festivals: Venice, Telluride, Vienna, Leeds, Deauville, Berlin Film Festival Market (thanks to Kodak and IFP), Sitges (Spain), Calgary, Rio de Janeiro, Puchon (Korea), The Prague Underground (twice), Tokyo, Stockholm, Dublin, Hong Kong, Tabriz, FilmHaus Berlin and Mar Del Plata (Argentina).

My work has received awards for Best Film, Best Documentary, Best Actor, Best Original Score, a few Audience Award, Best Drama and Best Film for Social Change.

Also, over the years, I’ve had the great good fortune to work with some of Hollywood’s top companies, receiving options and development deals from Walt Disney, CBS, Hemdale, Aaron Spelling, MultiMedia, Crystal Spring, Think Entertainment, Commotion/Destination, Muse, and The Independent Film Channel.

My projects have been represented by CAA, ICM, William Morris, Paradigm, and Gersh.

Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects with these incredibly talented
